Aftercare & Healing

Aftercare is key to keeping your tattoo looking great.

If you’re using Saniderm:

  • Keep the first layer on for 2-4 days, depending on your tattoo and skin.
  • After removing it, gently clean with mild soap and lukewarm water, pat dry, and follow any additional instructions from your artist.
  • Avoid picking, scratching, or soaking your tattoo while using Saniderm

If not using Saniderm:

  • Keep your tattoo clean and lightly moisturized with the ointment or lotion recommended by your artist.
  • Avoid soaking your tattoo in water (like pools, baths, or hot tubs) until it’s fully healed.
  • Avoid direct sun exposure and use sunscreen on healed tattoos.
  • Don’t pick at scabs or scratch your tattoo – let it heal naturally.

If you have any questions during your healing process, don’t hesitate to reach out – we want the experience to be calm and worry-free from start to finish.

Healing time varies depending on size, placement, and your body’s response.

Generally, the outer layer of skin heals in 2–3 weeks, but full healing beneath the surface can take up to 6 weeks. During this time, keep your tattoo clean, moisturized, and protected from sun and water.

Everyone heals differently. If you have any concerns, reach out to your artist.

Touch-ups are part of our process. Your first touch-up is free after healing, so your tattoo can look perfect. Any further touch-ups are handled on a case-by-case basis with your artist.
